Dubrovnik has recently been linked by air to Athens and from the beginning of June until the end of September it will be air linked with Moscow. An aircraft of the Croatian national air carrier Croatia Airlines will connect Dubrovnik and the capital of Greece three times a week: on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Dubrovnik will also be linked with the main Moscow airport Šeremetjevo three times a week. The aircraft of the Russian national air carrier Aeroflot will be flying on this line on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

TAP Portugal, the Portuguese national airline, is introducing a new line between Lisbon and Dubrovnik in June. The first aircraft will connect the two cities on 23 June and flights are planned for every Thursday until 25 August 2011. This is the first time in history that Dubrovnik will be linked to Lisbon by a direct airline.

Five low cost European airline companies have recently announced that they will introduce new direct flights to Dubrovnik in April and May next year.
