A four star boutique hotel Vela Vrata recently opened on the once favourite promenade of the Istrian town Buzet. The hotel was created by joining up and renovating of old buildings in the historical town core, while the construction works were overlooked by conservators. Zagreb’s position on the world map of congress tourism is rising. This is best shown through data of the International Congress and Convention Association, by which the main Croatian city has gone from 171st to 79th place on the list of 309 cities as world congress destinations.
